FAQ
What does the Worth It score mean?
The score reflects how well the current scientific evidence supports using that supplement for its most common purpose. Strong means large, well-designed trials back it up. Mixed means results are inconsistent. Limited means only small or early-stage studies exist. This is not a personal recommendation.
Where does the evidence come from?
We use the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) fact sheets and the FDA Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD) as primary references. These summarize human clinical research and safety data. This tool is for education only, not medical advice.
Does 'Not Worth It' mean I should stop?
No. This tool reflects population-level evidence, not what works for you personally. A supplement your doctor prescribed or that you personally observe helping you may still be worth it for your situation. Always discuss changes with your healthcare provider.
How is this different from the Data-Backed Report?
The Data-Backed Report gives you a research summary for each supplement you list. The Worth It Checker gives you a direct evidence rating plus what to track to find out if it actually works for you, connecting the science to your personal experience.
